Office building, Sydney Park RoadDesign for BMA (2007)
This was such an interesting site and design, I am still sad that it never got build. The task was to design an office building on a triangular site right at the train line at the edge of Sydney Park.. The idea was to create a facade that reflects the speed and the light of the trains at night. By using operable glass panels this could be achived and at the same time one could create a buffer zone between the traffic noise and the work spaces. For inspiration I did look at the Agbar Tower in Barcelona by Jean Nouvel or the work of the German architects Sauerbuch & Hutton. |
