Beautiful sans typeface from a German designer named Christopher Stahl. Amazing, his names sounds like his typeface looks.

For me the most inspiring city in Germany is Berlin. I discovered this photoblog a while ago and I think the images capture what Berlin is about. Whoever lived in Berlin or visited this amazing place will feel an instant connection to the pgotography produced by this fine artist. http://bgui.de/
I took this photo in Berlin in 2007. The last Peanut comic strip was published exactly 11 years ago. Charles M Schulz died the day before on the 12.02.2000. I did not know much about how popular and influential this comic strip has been in the America of the 1960s and 70s. I have learnt about it this weekend by reading "Discomfort Zone" by Jonathan Franzen. What a great read, I highly recommend it to anyone who loves diving into characters, controversial views and colourful images.
Who does not know and appreciate the photographs of Julius Shulman. Some of my favourite shots are of the Kaufmann House in Palm Springs, designed by Richard Neutra in 1946. For all the real fans there will be a festival celebrating the modernist architecture in Palm Springs later this month.http://www.modernismweek.com/ There will be talks and tours, unfortunately the Kaufmann house can only be viewed from the outside, it is privately owned.
