Whoever happens to be in Los Angeles at the moment should pop into the ACME Gallery. Dutch photographer Iwan Baan is exhibiting images of his latest publication "Brasilia - Chandigargh - Living with Modernity". Baan is amazing when it comes to architectural photography, his client include Koolhaas, Herzog de Meuron, Hadid, Holl, Ito...the list seems endless. He is great in capturing the interaction between architecture and its inhabitants.
While you are there just go across the road and have a look at the new Renzo Piano addition to LACMA. When I was there in 2009 it had not been finished, so I am not sure how good or bad it is, let me know.

For me the most inspiring city in Germany is Berlin. I discovered this photoblog a while ago and I think the images capture what Berlin is about. Whoever lived in Berlin or visited this amazing place will feel an instant connection to the pgotography produced by this fine artist. http://bgui.de/
I took this photo in Berlin in 2007. |
